I
do so understand the "THRILL" of unravelling the past , and i meet every request
whether it be a one off certificate or a much larger project with the enthusiasm
and diligence i have given to my own Family research. I enjoy this work to the point
that it really isn't like work.
My aim for Willowtrees has always been to offer the
sort of service i would be happy to receive myself. Working on the strong principle
that we all have different budgets and none of us like costs spiraling out of control.
I haven't the overheads of bigger researchers, and therefore can keep my fees reasonable
and with a much more easy friendly approach yet getting the same results.
I have been
researching for twenty years and am a member of a number of societies. I research
for customers both at home and abroad, especially the USA and Australia
I have been
interviewed for an article on genealogy for the Guardian newspaper on "how to get
started" in genealogy,in 2001 when the 1901 census came out.
Plus i was reviewed
in a television, BBC2 programme, called "Working Lunch", about the work of a Professional
Genealogist.
Also having had two articles printed in Family Tree magazine in the
USA , and having work published in the book entitled Brickwall Solutions, in the
USA. Plus an article in the first issue of Internet Genealogy magazine in the USA.
Having
said all that,I am an INDEPENDENT RESEARCHER, and work from my home at Willowtree
Cottage.And consequently as an Independent researcher i can keep focused on the project
and follow it through from beginning to end. I do this work because i truly do enjoy
it, so it really doesn't feel like work ! I like to feel i if i am asked for help
i work as a team with you, emailing back and forth and enjoying the results as they
unfold. I don’t believe in wild goose chases and so initially when you email me with
what you are aiming for,i will absorb it and get back to you with what i feel can
be realistically achieved or not. Because of this , i don’t require money up front,
as engaging someone is about trust on both sides. It works well.
